چکیده

In this work, the robustness of the fluid-structure interaction simulation with a nearly incompressible elasticity model from our previous work [Partitioned solvers for the fluid-structure interaction problems with a nearly incompressible elasticity model, Comput Visual Sci, 14:227-247, 2012] is improved. At each time step of the FSI simulation, using properly chosen elementwise stabilization parameters (which depend on particular time integration scheme, mesh size and material parameters, etc.) for the mixed displacementpressure elasticity formulation with linear finite elements for both displacement and pressure spaces, we observe improved robustness of the FSI numerical solutions.

A Class of Fluid-structure Interaction Solvers with a Nearly Incompressible Elasticity Model

In this paper, we present some numerical studies on two partitioned fluid-structure interaction solvers: a preconditioned GMRES solver and a Newton based solver, for the fluid-structure interaction problems employing a nearly incompressible elasticity model in a classical mixed displacementpressure formulation. Both are highly relying on robust and efficient solvers for the fluid and structure ...

Study of Pulsatile Non-Newtonian Blood Flow Through Abdominal Aorta and Renal Arteries Incorporating Fluid- Structure Interaction

Background: The interaction between the blood and the vessel wall is of great clinical interest in studying cardiovascular diseases, the major causes of death in developed countries. Objective: To understand the effects of incorporating fluid-structure interaction into the simulation of blood flow through an anatomically realistic model of abdominal aorta and renal arteries reconstructed from CT...

Domain Decomposition Solvers for the Fluid-Structure Interaction Problems with Anisotropic Elasticity Models Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org) DOMAIN DECOMPOSITION SOLVERS FOR THE FLUID-STRUCTURE INTERACTION PROBLEMS WITH ANISOTROPIC ELASTICITY MODELS

In this work, a two-layer coupled fluid-structure-structure interaction model is considered, which incorporates an anisotropic structure model into the fluid-structure interaction problems. We propose two domain decomposition solvers for such a class of coupled problems: a Robin-Robin preconditioned GMRES solver combined with an inner Dirichlet-Neumann iterative solver, and a Robin-Robin precon...

Nonlinear analytical solution of nearly incompressible hyperelastic cylinder with variable thickness under non-uniform pressure by perturbation technique

In this paper, nonlinear analytical solution of pressurized thick cylindrical shells with variable thickness made of hyperelastic materials is presented. The governing equilibrium equations for the cylindrical shell with variable thickness under non-uniform internal pressure are derived based on first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT). The shell is assumed to be made of isotropic and homoge...
